The max speed limit 70 and his doing 62mph

They issue tickets for middle lane hogging.

Doing a large chunk below the speed limit (at which most would be driving) is in my eyes just as dangerous if not more so that speeding.

Everyone seems to drive at 40 or slower around here, wonder if that's why the speed limit was dropped to 50 mph!
Of course that's 40 everywhere, including 20 and 30 mph limits...

Got car back today - That alternator must have been wearing out for ages - Car has sounded like a tractor since don't know when - really quiet now.

Never had red light come on to show it was faulty and was never picked up on services.

There isn't a light for every component of the car and a service/MOT wouldn't ever touch the alternator. You should probably have taken it in when you noticed it sounded like a tractor

My first diesel and a Ford so it sounded agricultural to me anyway - Had 2750 miles on it when got it. - I suppose I just got used to the rattle.-- I am half deaf as well
