a few weeks ago i bought a new 1tb hard drive - died in a week.

my new PSU - a corsair 650w - has just died after 2 days!! so another RMA for me.

lucky i have my old one to put back in.

computers suck. i was going to buy a geforce 260 next week - i won't be able to do it now until i can get the new psu back and whats the betting that the graphics card doesn't work either :(:(

You know selecting parts for your Computer is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. you gotta make sure the parts have past inspection, the performance is top notch and your getting a good price to performance ratio!

That sucks, I'm about to order a Corsair 650w too! :(

Corsair's TX650 is a stunningly good PSU made by Seasonic. But no matter how good it is (or any other PSU), there is always a chance of getting a faulty part. Branded parts offer better protection for the rest of the computers parts, and generally lead to better stability of the computer overall.

I would have no problem giving a 100% recommendation to the entire Corsair PSU range (Both the seasonic, and cwt version), and chalk up the OP's faulty PSU as simply bad luck.

The TX range of power supplies are actually made by Channel Well Technology (CWT). I think it's the HXs that are made by Seasonic.
