:( driving to work today morning around 8.50 , a motorcycle driver in front of me about 300 meters fell down and got killed on the spot. He wasnt wearing a helmet neither any sort of protection clothing , very stupid imho but the scene was sickening...he was literally ripped apart and he was only doing 30 miles/h. i could never imagine 30 miles can kill you instantly and rip your head into chunks. i stopped to help but there was little i could do rather than keep people off and call the ambulance+police.

i noticed that cat eyes on the lanes played a significant role in this accident.

anyway , i cant concentrate to my work now , the images circle my mind. :(

it is illegal not to wear a helmet in this country , and the penalty for getting caught is quite high . But you know some people dont understand that this piece of plastic can save your life. He was unfortunate i think , the weather is really humid here and i think he his bikes front wheel slipped when he tried to change lanes.

i cant leave work today unfortunately , i was 2 days off cause i was ill (monday+tuesday) so its not easy to leave as you understand.

i am a biker my self too and was driving work today with my bike, everytime i hear or see a biker injured or dead it really hits me , we are like a big "family".

i have seen lots of accidents involving bikers , never a dead person though , but this wont put me off riding a bike . I am riding bikes since i am 15 and will do so till i physically cant ride.

Records in this country show that it is the car that made motorcycle a dangerous mean to travel. I have been blocked many times when driving in lanes by idiots who simply dont have any idea of what is going on arounf them , they either smoke or talk in the cell phone or pump 100 dB of music. I know i hae to deal with bad drivers all the time and i am fully concentrated on the road when riding my bike , but car drivers should be as careful as i am or at least more careful than they are on average

"i didnt see you" isnt an excuse , it is an indication of poor driving skills.
