how ever im a bit unsure its all done right

i can boot into bios and stuff

but my cable management is terrible has anyone got any tips ?

and also for some reason the sata cables that came with my psu (be quiet 650w modular) wont fit my sata hard drive or sata optical drive so ive had to daisy chain them using a motherboard double input sata cable is this ok ?

any general advice or tips would be more then welcome

all the best cheers

Hey
have a look in the cases section and the case gallery, youll see how others have done their mgmt and it might give you ideas, if you want specific advice what case is it youve got? SATA cables should fit as they should all be the same but theres nothing wrong with working it the way youve got it

Sata cables only fit one way up, I'd guess that's the problem. Need two per drive, one for power, one for data.

The gallery section is probably where you'll find all the answers you could hope for, but I'll try to add something onto that. Cable ties are amazing. Easiest to cut using wire cutters or finger nail clippers. Also useful is electrical/pvc tape. Many people cut holes in the motherboard tray to facilitate hiding cables behind the board but this is not always required to make things look tidy.

Photo of your current case?

Get some cable ties round the case if your cables have the reach keep them away from fans to allow air flow to be unobstructed by the cables which will help keep everything a little bit cooler

yeah come on show us some pics :D...... oh as some spec's would be nice as well :D

have to agree with above, the case mod section of the forum is the place to find out how the pros deal with there cables, theres some sweet set-ups there as well

As others have said, cases section for ideas on tidying - and there's nowt wrong with the SATA leads on a BeQuiet! PSU... they are all made to the same standard - I suggest you look again! :)
