I can game, but youtube and iplayer run like a dog...

my broadband is pretty naff but of late its got worse

currently with O2 who are the best in the area with an amazing !!

i can game ok, but youtube and iplayer is a dog, constantly pausing.

just wondering if there is anything i can do?

was thinking i will call BT, as O2 just line and connection is fine, what about a new router? would that help at all? i only have the stock o2 freebee

cant get fibre or cable either

Have you run a line check on the ISP website to see what sort of speed you should be getting?

i don't know what exchange i'm on, i called O2 and they said there is no issues

Gosh, just checked mine to where I have just moved from a rural, to an urban area:
12,244 residential premises561 non-residential premises

lol. Seems a lot on one exchange. Not getting any issues with BT btw, mind you saying that.. recently.. the video's don't seem to want to cache on and off, and can be pretty slow. hmm... I'd forgotten about that.

That's on my local exchange in the Birmingham suburbs, but it all depends on how much capacity the box can handle rather than raw numbers.
