I CAN OVERCLOCK

I have been reading for ages but never quite got my head around it. Tonight I raised FSB to 230 on my Northwood 2.6 and have a 3ghz chip.

I am very proud!

Hey i know the feeling....i bought cpc today aswell and read their instructions and tried it out.
ive got my e6600 2.4 running @ 3ghz and the highest i can get the temp to go is 53c after about 1 hour of supcom...im only running on the refrence heatsink too lol.

didnt even have to raise the voltage any.

Just maxed out at 245 fsb which is giving me 3.2ghz. Any higher and prime95 starts to wig out. I think Ill leave Vcore alone coz speedfan is giving me temps of 60 c. The CPU seems to run at over 1.5 volts as it is. That said I am well pleased with what I have now. No matter what some said about Custom PC, it is the first article to have given me the courage and now it all makes sense. (does a little dance)
