I've ordered my build and it was due to arrive tomorrow. The problem is that I have just received a telephone call to tell me I've lost my job :(. I'm now thinking of immediately prioritising all the cost cuts I must make until I can find a new job. This could include the order I've placed. Ocuk states that:

Under the Distance Selling Regulations (2000) you have the right to cancel the contract relating to your order at any time up to the end of 7 working days after the goods are delivered. To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to Overclockers UK by letter, fax or RMA WebNote giving details of the goods ordered and date received. Notification by phone is not acceptable. If you exercise your right of cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations (2000) after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to Overclockers UK at your own cost.

I'm assuming that, 'after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to Overclockers UK at your own cost.', means once they have left the warehouse? I'm also just about to send a webnote.

Could anybody give me a very rough estimate as to how much the following would cost to send back?:

1)AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition

2) MSI 790FX-GD70 AMD 790FX

3) gigabyte gtx 275

4) OCZ Platinum Enhanced Bandwidth Edition 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz Dual Channel (OCZ3P1600EB4GK)

5) Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB SATA-II 32MB

6) Noctua NF-P12 Vortex-Control 120mm

7) Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound

I've also brought a Seasonic M12D 850w psu and a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Cooler from a competitor, and a Sony BDU-X10S from another.

If it is not worth me sending the components back due to the cost, would It be more cost effective to try and sell them on the Member's Market? I still need a computer but will have to scale the build down considerably. Many thanks for any advice.

has the order been shipped? if not phone up and cancel
.
and no reason why you can't use the distance selling reg. just don't open anything.

I expect this will be closed.
