Wonder if anyone else has seen this?

I'm considering a change from my present service to a RADSL package and was wondering what speed I can get. However, according to various checkers, I can't get broadband on my line....... I find this a bit odd, considering I already have a 1MB package and was told my line was OK for a 2MB package a while back. Even my ISP now tell me my line can't get broadband....... Shame they're charging me each month for something I can't get, then..... :D

The BT website says an engineer visit confirms ADSL is unobtainable (I've not had an engineer visit) and BT Wholesale website informs me:

"However, due to your line being supplied using an incompatible technology, it is currently not possible for your telephone line to support broadband service. Note: There is currently an ADSL cease pending or in progress against this line. This cease is due to complete by 6th July 2005. This will not stop you ordering ADSL from a new supplier, but will delay the provision of the new ADSL service"

Anyone seen this before, or any suggestions on resolution? ISP's support says it's a BT issue, BT says it's an issue with my provider.....

It's certainly an issue with BT Wholesale, but it's something your ISP has to deal with (because you have no interface with BTw).
Which "BT website" were you using?

I've tried BT's residential site (which tells me of the engineer visit) and BT Wholesale.

SamKnows says "Our line test indicates that you are in a broadband enabled area and your line can support a speed of around 0.0Mb with
AOL, Tiscali, Pipex, Orange, BT, Plusnet, Eclipse"

When i went onto LLU it said i might be able to get 1/4meg although before it said 1 meg, and currently im on 1.5meg
