I cant get my fans working how I would like it, would a fan hub/controller be the way to go?

So I have the Phanteks Enthoo Evolve case and the rest of components are in my signature. Now Since i have built this machine i have struggled with the fan profiles and how to get them running how i would like. The gigabyte bios seems to be a bit crap, i cant get the fans to be individually controlled or even set up in a way thats acceptable. Its like its either far too loud or barely moving. The worst thing is i cant get the fans to ramp up slowly, so if i set up the fans to increase speed with temps its like it will ramp up then down then up then down non stop causing really bad noises.

Is there a way to stop this? I have a mix of 4pin and 3pin fans, i think thats half my problem, would a fan hub be of any use? Does anyone have a suggestion?

Im using a mix of Noctua 120mm and the stock Phanteks 140mm

I don’t think a fan hub is entirely necessary, use separate fan splitters to split the three-pin (DC12V) and four pin (PWM) fans onto separate headers on your motherboard. I know with Asus it has special software to auto detect fans but mixing fan types may confuse the software.

Install smart fan 5 to set the fan curves i don't use the bios. As for the fans, I plug the front fans on the same header, radiator fans on another header, rear fan on another etc. each header can handle 2A (24Watts).

I don't recommend you set the fan speeds to the CPU temps because they jump around a lot so your fans would ramp up and down constantly. I'm using a water temp sensor to detemine the fan speeds, you could try using the VRM sensor or use the thermistor (temp sensor cable) which comes with the board and place it as close to the cpu or on the heatsink.
