I can't link pictures :(

I've no idea what's going on but if I put a link like this into a post there is no problem for you to click on it - www.dmpoole.co.uk/pics/shell2.jpg

if I attach it with the picture icon I get the message 'Image Cannot Be Loaded From The Passed Link'?

There are plenty that are working eg in the Guitar thread so I can't work out what's going on.

Any ideas?

Assuming you mean the "Insert image" icon.
I have never used that before, always just pasted in the bbcode from imgur.
Tried it just now with your link and the image worked fine.
Maybe try writing the bbcode instead?

I believe this has been mentioned before. You need to serve over HTTPS not HTTP.

You're right I have been told this before but I'm sure I tried it the other day with https:// in front of it.

heh I thought of that and even tried testing it, but couldn't break it.

The reason is I have the HTTPS Everywhere browser extension - which everyone should have IMO:

Encrypt the Web! Automatically use HTTPS security on many sites.

You're right I have been told this before but I'm sure I tried it the other day with https:// in front of it.

For some reason it's only this forum though - maybe all content has to be over https for it to function correctly. I think it improves SEO as well if everything has to be over HTTPS.

Maybe it's time for browsers to implement it by default. I would like to see HTTP been removed permanently.
