Everything is working fine as far as the network and internet access is concerned,
But i wanted to check the settings on my router so i fired up firefox tapped in the 192.etc correctly and it just will not load, tryed with IE as well and tryed on the 2nd PC still no luck.

the router is a linksys BEFDSR41W all PC's are wired to it, not currently useing the wireless option although the card is in the router and it is on.

Any one have any ideas on why it will not connect to the setup page?

thanks
Keith

Has anyone changed the routers ip address?.. Like when setting it up initially.. from the default of 192.168.1.1..

Does it just display page cannot be found/displayed? ..Also have you tried pinging the router?

;)

Also, as UKDTweak said if you can not gain access in any way, then you always have the option of resetting the router... but you will then lose all/any configuration/settings you have entered.

Banged my head against the wall a few times,

After turning the router off, waiting, turning it on again, (3rd time i have tryed this in the last half hour)

I can log in.

Before it was just sitting there for ever trying to load the page, no time out errors or any thing like that, but it is straight in now.

only wanted to check it was showing a new speed as i was regraded to MAX today.
