I recently updated my rig with a 6700k, an asrock fatality k6+ gaming motherboard, and 16gb of 3200mhz corsair vengeance ram. After a few hiccups I got the system up and running but I've since discovered that whatever I do I cannot overclock in the slightest without severe issues. I've tried many configurations of cpu overclock but each time the system would crash after about 10 minutes. Same story with the RAM, despite being rated 3200mhz, whenever i activate the XMP profile to get it to 3200mhz my system won't start... I've searched about in many places and haven't been able to find any concrete suggestions for what to try next, so any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Current Rig:
i7 6700k 4.00ghz
16gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 rated at 3200mhz
AsRock fatality k6+ gaming motherboard
MSI gtx 970

Very strange. That's pretty much the same setup as mine. I have my xmp profile enabled at 3000mhz, an offset of 80mv and multiplier 46. Its totally stable at 4.6ghz.

I did flash mine to the latest bios immediately though.

What vcore are you running?
