Hello all.

Today I wanted too upgrade too windows 10 from windows 8.1. However I keep getting this error.
(Realtek Bluetooth
Your PC has a driver or service that isn't ready for this version of Windows 10.)

Laptop Lenovo G50-70
Realtek Bluetooth 4.0
Driver Version: 1.3.810.3

I have the latest driver installed, so I don't know how too get around this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Could try deleting the existing driver within device manager before reinstalling.

I'm wondering if you have the w7 one on your machine so to be sure I would delete it before trying the reinstall. Just in case the driver install sees the old one and skips doing anything.

So I uninstalled Bluetooth and that got it too work, however I now have a worse issue.

The screen on my laptop has been broken for ages, but I have it connected too TV so have never repaired it.

The windows 10 install reset the laptop and now nothing is showing on TV.

I am not sure how long the install takes, so maybe it's still installing? Because I selected it too save settings etc. so hopefully it comes back on soon.

EDIT:

Well, now I just got this error.

No the TV don't have PC Mode. I have always just plugged in the HDMI and it recognises it straight away.

I have gone back too 8.1 for now. It's so hard doing it when my laptop screen don't work. I even cast the screen too my phone and still couldn't fix it.

This laptop is quite old now, but I only use it for basic things so I don't really want too buy a new laptop. I haven't even been able too do windows updates for awhile  I get the following error "Windows update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running"

I have done the 'DISM /image:C:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions'
I have done the troubleshoot.
I have downloaded different programs that are meant too fix such issues.

I have read before that malware normally normally turns windows updates off, but I have done a scan with AVG and found nothing.

Probably best to back up your files to some other device so you can then go through the recovery option that will restore the factory set image of the drive then do the Windows updates to bring it back up to date. You may also find after doing that as it's totally clean at that point with just Windows on it that you can then upgrade to W10.

I would rather not do that if I can avoid it. It would mean having too buy something too put the files on.

This is the error I get

It sounds like a file is missing or something? Is they anyway just too replace it?

Sounds like you didn't have internet connection for it to download necessary files from MS.

If it were me I would still go down the route of backing up your data and doing a full reset. Depending on how much data you have, you could either buy a cheap Microsoft (Office) 365 personal subscription and get 1TB of cloud storage for 1 year or buy a cheap external drive such as:

By full reset I mean using the laptops restore feature to restore the image from the recovery partition to the system partition so it's the same as when first purchased. You can then bring it up to date through Windows Update. That way you'll have all the drivers that shipped with the laptop. Use Lenovo's software to check for latest drivers and bring those up to date too.

Update:

So I have just done the reinstall without losing personal files and now windows updates are working again :)

So, now I am going too update all drivers and then attempt the windows 10 install again. However I did find that Lenovo always shows that they is no updates, so I now use driver reviver because it is more accurate.

Thank you for all the help, hopefully this time they will be no more issues
