I think clutchless shifting while filtering is actually far safer and faster than not as you can get away quicker with clutchless, plus you're not going to get rear ended sitting between two cars.
Couldn't have put it better myself. For me, it's what biking is all about - messing about, having fun, going fast, learning your bike, using different techniques and pretending you're a pro racer. All these people that never mod, never 'accidentally' wheelie, never lean off the side, never rev the hell out of it (and so on) are truly missing out
Not that I do any of the above...
I also like the burnout idea above, better to be seen, heard and smelt.
