By accident when I was formatting my PC i deleted the partitions on my storage SSD instead of my NVME.

Is there any free way to recover it?

Thank you, trying that now. It is going very slowly through the hard drive (1tb size) but I am prepared to wait a day if it saves my documents!

Mite be worth grabbing a mechanical hard drive for the file sole purpose of backing up, disc imaging software can do this on a regular basis.

You can use recovery software like EaseUS, but because you deleted the header of the drive that tells the PC where everything is when you recover the drive, it will bundle all of X type file in the same folder. I once did this and it took 3 days to go through 1.4 million impulse files, and I still can't bring myself to sort them all out. It would take weeks.

EaseUS picked the partitions up but it is quite expensive (65CHF). It will not recover without the paid version. If I can save a bit I will!

If you live near West Yorkshire, I can recover it for you, free of charge if you have an external drive to recover to. I'm just a guy, not a company or OC competitor and OC don't do data recovery AFAIK.

Thanks for suggestions all. I tried Testdisk but it doesn't seem to work for me, getting strange errors. Quite frustrating.

Thanks for the offer of helping me out person in Yorkshire, I am unfortunately around 2,000km away! :)
