I did't hang about......

Trying not to come across as a Type-R snob (Jonnycoupe will kick my arse) but it does need to be pointed out that there is a heck of a lot more difference between the Type-R and the Si than just 17bhp ;)

Different engine, different chassis, lesser LSD, different suspension setup etc, in fact most of the stuff that makes the Type-R what it is.

Don't get me wrong, properly modded Si's can be very nice indeed and plenty quick enough (they take FI much better than the R ;) ) but they are not a 'cheap' Type-R despite the looks.

Hopefully the apparent colours mismatch is nothing as the whole car looks a bit dulled down, I think the Si white is a brighter shade than championship white so it's probably a bit dirty or just a crap photo :)

Looks good m8

I quite enjoy the import process, its like a xmas present waiting.

Car looks fine, the wheels look like the same SSR's i had a while back on mine, and the car looks good. No panic about the colouring, its easy to spot on dirty imports, nothing a good polish wont sort.

With the vtec controller running you wont be far away from type r performance...

Just out of interest, who is the importer? I tend to know most of the main ones.

Heres a pic of my old wheels:

can you say where you sourced it from ?

seriously want to import me an '03 JDM STI scooby when i get rid of the points on my license in 2/3 years time.

That will be very expensive to get on the road here with the ESVA it would have to pass.

I think the STi version 7 is the last model with a model report at the moment

EDIT:

Versions 8 & 9 are available too

Very nice Ben.

I can't see any colour differences on my screen (19" Viewsonic) but if you need to borrow the Porter Cable just pop round sometime.

Nice! I think its a little down on power, has a different diff and suspension. I may be wrong mind, not exactly an authority.
The VTEC controller and the "hopefully" coilovers should sort that out. Sounds like a bargain to me if its all straight!

Get rid of that steering wheel though!!!

There's a definite difference on the last pic, but as said, it's just the light/camera angles. I'm sure Drexel will update us with better pics when it arrives:cool:

Hi there

It looks good!

However I am on a DELL 30" here and I can see in every picture that the rear 1/4 panels are a different colour to the rest of the car?

You got any more pictures? If I were you I'd be enquiring as to why the car is two different colours as to me thats means its either had other panels put on or a re-spray. Or get them to take some new pictures at very high resolution from several different angles in case it is just the photography causing it.

When i viewed my cars pics at the importer I was worried as the panels looks like they didnt colour match correctly. IE - a lot worse than that SiR pics. When i went to collect it though - PERFECT (apart from bonet, but i already knew that as had been told). Pictures never do justice, expecially those low quality ones! Plus the paint no doubt could do with a good cutting and polishing!
