....'cause as far as I can tell it's still raining pretty heavily in Texas :(

If the track does dry, then Tony Stewart is on pole. The Nationwide race didn't run yet, and is scheduled to run after the Cup race today - if it goes ahead.

Got it on now and it looks very wet. There must be a good chance they race Monday.

The weather has dried around Fort Worth somewhat. Might get some racing done today.

Nice win for Hamlin. It does not look like his knee surgery is going to slow him down that much.

I'm really pleased that Hamlin has won a race after the surgery. Really. It's just that....couldn't he have been driving something that wasn't a frappin' Toyota?

Oh well, at least it wasn't a Roush-Fenway Ford.

Talking of which.....once again, there's the Braindead Moron™ getting into the back of Smoke and causing a wreck that takes out some really good cars - especially Jeff Gordon's #24. Tony has come out and taken the heat for it in the interviews - IMO, it wasn't his fault, it's bloody Edwards again. All he had to do was ease off a touch and Tony could have saved that car. Instead, a bunch of cars get wrecked. Way to go!

Dunno what happened to Dale there, was running well all race, 3rd on the restart and then he just went backwards...

Enjoyed it though, shame to see Jeff Gordon taken out after looking good for the win.

JJ again finishing extremely well, only needed a couple more laps, as if 33x or however many it was wasn't enough for him :p

EDIT:

Just realised this post is entirely about the hendrick cars, they were running really well though

Denny Hamlin did well with the win, good restart and got just enough of a gap to hold off JJ.

And Talladega next, now we'll see whether the spoiler is doing it's job, along with lots and lots of crashing, always fun :)

I think the Gibbs team is the only team capable of stopping the 48 from making it 5 in a row. Hamlin had some bad luck in the chase last year when is car looked to be at least as fast as the 48 and if Kyle Busch hits the sweet spot with the car set up then they can all look out.

It was good to see the 24 serving it up to the 48 during the race. It's a shame Jeff Gordon and Smoke were in the big wreck (Edwards did exactly what he accused Kesolowski of by not giving any room to a loose car in front of him) as they had been the most dominant cars. Smoke has become too PC since he became a team owner and the Smoke of old would have sorted Edwards out with a bit of old school retribution.
