I dont game. I just use photoshop. Spec card?

I am using a ATi x1800XT and I simply don't game at all. I have an xbox for that.
I use photoshop a lot so thats the only thing to consider.

What should I get instead of this card because mostly.
1, Its super noisy! Its all I can hear all the time.
2, It chucks out a boat load of heat.

I am looking to spend as little money as possible would like like something that is gonna act as some sort of upgrade even if its marginal.

Any advice what I should do

recent geforce cards enable some GPU optimizations within Photoshop (and after effects too etc.) so i'd go for any low cost basic geforce. maybe an 8800.

Another vote for a low end geforce if you use photoshop extensively as theres also CUDA plugins coming which might be useful and speed things up a bit.

Otherwise look at the passively cooled 46xx ATI cards, etc.
