I don't know if this is really good... or really bad... (Running from Camera)

So you're saying you can deny that the fat man in the photo is fat? Impressive.

Worst thread ever, by the way.

I think the subjective part was this bit:

Those photos show no creative flair, technical knowhow and they certainly have no positive aesthetic qualities to them.

Which, if you could be arsed to read and actually process, you'd know. But instead it seems you've come here entirely to be dismissive and then start an argument.

Worst poster ever, tbh.

Actually I was posting about the whole thing. It's a complete shambles and has clearly been posted to get some sort of stupid argument going, and your "troll" reply (for want of a better term; I'm too tired to be more accurate) isn't helping really.

I'd hardly call some fat bloke running away from a camera "creative flair". It's clearly been done as a stupid stunt to attract attention. It's all been done before, and will no doubt be done again.

I could post volumes more about how tragically awful the whole thing is, but I was hoping that I wouldn't even have to post this much about something so insultingly bad.

Someone else shared the site with me, and I was glad they did. It might not to be everyone's taste, but I thought it was an interesting idea. If you frequent this particular part of the forum regularly, you'll know that this isn't the place where people post things to start arguments. You're opinion that it was done "to get some sort of stupid argument going" really shows how badly you've misjudged this one.

You think it's awful. That's fine. You also claim it's been done before. Again, great, but I've never seen it, and I certainly havn't seen anything similar posted here.

Please stop taking the attitude whatever you think / say is the only single universal objective truth. If you really do think it's the "worst thread ever", don't post in it. There are plenty of other people who are capable of voicing their opinion (positive or negative) in a less annoying way. Also, you seem to have something against fat people. I'm not quite sure why, but it's a little disturbing.

Well, I've now decided that you are infact a forum troll. Only an idiot would believe what you've just posted.

I don't really care what you decide in your spare time. By the way, look up the actual definition of 'trolling'.

I never said at any point that my opinion is a "universal truth", nor at any point do I go on a long rant about hating fat people, so where you've got this idea from that I have something against fat people I don't know. I could go on about how I'm fat, I have fat friends, fat people can do most of what thin people can do, etc but I'm sure your mind is far too closed to form opinions other than what you clearly have already decided is the case.

I withdraw my comments about fat people, as I saw it was actually a different poster who posted them. For that I apologize.

That said, you did say:

You can't deny it's true though.

which appeared to be in response to:

Those photos show no creative flair, technical knowhow and they certainly have no positive aesthetic qualities to them.

And you go on!

It's NOT art. It's a fat bloke running from his camera. People that say this is art are the same type of morons that go to the Tate modern and are impressed or buy something from there.

You're making sweeping objective statements based on nothing more than your opinion. It's a trait that's very very irksome (to me) and makes you sound like a twelve-year-old.

The one thing I will say is that due to being extrememly tired last night, I posted that this was posted to create an argument. What I meant to say was the person taking the shots has posted those on the net for this reason. I wasn't trying to imply YOU were posting to cause an argument (although it seems you've done that too ;))

Well, that's more reasonable. For the record I didn't want to start an argument, but it really properly bothers me when people turn up in a photography forum and declare someone's work to be "not art". You do not hold the god-given right to decide what is and isn't art, so please acting like you do.

Excuse me?
Who are you to tell me where I should post?

*EDIT*

Judging by the photographs on your website...nobody.

Oh dear. :(

Maybe I should have said, please stop crapping on *my* thread?

Well, to everyone else, I'm sorry this has happened. I thought the original link was quite interesting and thought someone else might think so as well. Seems like this place is full of more children than I had originally realised.
