So one of the lads on our irc chat for eve was asking for advice on upgrading his laptop to an ssd. then he was like o my fan is not working very well and the cpu temp is normally at around 100c or so, then he posted this pic up of the laptops cooling and i am amazed its still running.

He said he has the cpu set to not go over 60% load (how is that possible?) and that he has ordered a replacement heat-sink and fan unit for it.

Has any one ever seen a fan disintegrate like this?

I told him not to bother with the ssd and to save his £££ for future purchase's of a new pc or something as i cannot see an ssd helping at this stage..

This is the laptop spec.
