I dont trust deodorant

antiperspirants make me sweat, I can literally spray my arm pits after having a shower , sit down and within minutes my arm pits start crying tears of sweat..

The longer lasting they claim the quicker it happens.

deodorant is fine though

Writhing in pain,
Arise, arise and live again!

Yeah - I don't really have a problem with perspiration (which might be why it has this effect) but if I stick to something light like lynx dry dark temptation antiperspirant - quick spray and I'm good for the whole day no problems even on the warmest day - but if I try something like L'Oreal "ultra" "48hour" "super" whatever antiperspirant or lynx "full control" or some other similiar brand of supposedly ultra stuff the slightest thing has me sweating like crazy and stinking by the end of the day.

It's not such a daft topic, I'm toying with the idea of making some home made deodorant... it's actually not such a dumb idea, there's plenty of guides on the net but basically:

Recipe (by weight, or use the measurements in brackets if you don’t have a scale):
1.1 oz. cocoa butter (1/8 c.)
2.0 oz. beeswax (3 Tbsp. melted)
1.5 oz. coconut oil (3 Tbsp.)
1.5 oz. baking soda (1/8 c.)
1.0 oz. arrowroot powder (3 1/2 heaping Tbsp.)
10 -15 drops of essential oil to fragrance, men for example could use things like sandalwood, Neroli, bergamot, vetiver, patchouli, Ylang-ylang

Same here, many times I have accidentally fragranced my eyeballs. On other occasions I have found that the can which I would have sworn was mine was in fact the wifes. I have even had one exchange places with a can of pledge while I wasn't looking.

Wait! What? Sweet Zombie Jesus. This thread is more the walking bones than the walking dead. Were it any older it would have some hippy trying to slap a preservation order on it.

Alum is used as a natural deodorant by a lot of people.
But I'm of the school of thought that bo is a natural aphrodisiac :D

I either use roll on or talc.

Not least of all because this spray rubbish does nothing to stop one sweating.

Strictly speaking you shouldn't need any more than an antiperspirant (ie. a bodyspray/ deodrant) if you're healthy and hygienic.
