For euro 2008..

Few reasons

I hate the media hype that goes on telling us we're gonna go all the way and win it   and golden boy rooney;s gonna be the main man (the guy whos got 41 goals since joining UTD in 2004)

Football hooligans and the likes - people who sing "there were 10 german bombers in the air" in Germany

It'd give John Motson more opportunities to mention before and after "the war" and also 1966.

Gary Lineker , Ian Wright, Alan Hanson, Mark Lawrenson and mr personality (Alan Shearer)

There is a flip side to the coin (xenophobia scotland getting their way etc etc) but i think i prefer it this way, and im english :p

Doesnt really matter anyway any side with Lampard and Heskey have no chance anyway

While i agree with a lot of your points you'd have to be a complete moron to not want your team to qualify.

I agree with a couple of your points but I still want them to qualify because the atmosphere in the pub is excellent when england are actually at either the world cup/european cup, as long as they win that is...

I know.. its brilliant to watching an important england game in the pub or at a friends house but then i see how our fans behave and it's embarressing..

nah, not embarrasing.

few pints.. roll with it. yobbo galore! i love it...

especially last summer. next summer will be mint because our union will be awesome...

it was great for the champions league final... good atmosphere until milan scored.. even though i didnt mind, but everyone went flat.. obviously

Actually i dont want England to qualify either. As long as we continue to do ok at the tournaments nothing will change. i think the shock of failing to qualify could energize the team into changing its attitude and possibly be better off in the long run.

As a non-Englishman I'm always happy to see them qualify.

The television coverage is always seems better when they're in the tournament, and I never have to fear that they may actually win it.

Because England winning a major tournament is one of the worst things that could possibly happen.

Tho winning it might cause yous to shut up about 1966 for a good 3 weeks.

Isn't that why the Scottish/Welsh etc. moan about England in football - they get the same broadcasts as England does?
