When i was trying to unpack the cpu,
..you know its in a tiny little box with plastic thing which you need to pull out, anyway short story is the cpu flew across my room landing on my very hard floor.
Do you think it may be damaged,i cant see any visual damage
it should be alright right?

Chances are it'll be OK. You could always just be sneaky and RMA it if there are any problems. OCUK won't lose any money, AFAIK.

if it was still in the little plastic box it should be ok, no major worries, just check for any bent pins etc. they can always be straightened out too :)

pins are all fine,i think it landed on the other flat side.
problem is it wasnt in the plastic box when it took off :)

I thought C2D's didn't have pins as the pins are in the cpu socket on the motherboard?

You say that like AMD64 CPU's where the only CPU's to ever have pins

Aren't 775 cpus the first to have the pins in the motherboard? All CPUs that I've seen before have had pins on the CPU, was always straightening them out
