I finally want to get Battlefield 2

a lot of people are talking about it being such a great game I want to decide for my self once and for all!
I understand you need quite a beast to run it, so question is, will my system cope?

AMD Winchester 64 @ stocks 2Ghz
GeIL 1Gb RAM (2*512)
HIS x800xl iTurbo
Samsung Spinpoint 160Gb
DFI UT NF4

Any suggestions?

That will run it fine

I have 3.06 GHz Intel P4
9800 Pro
1 GB RAM

and it runs fine on medium settings with a few high settings

great game when it doesnt crash but 1.4 patch is out soon so hopefully it will be fine after that

a mate of mine has a similar setup but he has 2gb of ram and it runs sweet

did before with 1gb too btw, with medium textures

I have what i'd say a very similar setup (3000+ Winny, 1GB Cas2 Geil, x800xt) and it runs very well at 1280x1024 with 4xaa , 16xaf with everything maxed out apart from Textures (which are at medium, but look no different imo) and dynamic shadows (which hog fps in almost all games that have this feature)

It'll run fine, just make sure you put textures on medium and not high as they require 1.5-2GB RAM.
