You'll want a premium, it includes:
- Hard Drive - Useful for downloading Demo's, Video's and Storing Music for using in-game.
- Headset - You'll want this for talking to your friends over Xbox Live!
- Wireless Controller - Amazing quality wireless pad, solid, perfect design and weight.
Then ontop of that you'll want:
- Play-n-Charge Kit - For when your pad starts dying. It includes a special battery which is rechargable through USB to the console (or any other USB power source (PC for example).
- Wireless adapter* - For connecting to Xbox Live! Wirelessly. You'll want your Xbox360 connected at all times.
- Xbox Live! Gold - With Gold you can play games online with people, also multiplayer only demo's only work on Xbox Live! Gold. (You can still have friends and downloads via Xbox Live! Silver.
Then for Games it's upto you. From my profile you can see I have played a hell of a lot of games, the ones I can truly recommend:
Burnout Revenge, Project Gotham Racing 3, Oblivion, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Prey.
I enjoy/enjoyed all of those games for varying reasons, but mainly all because they have a really solid single and/or multi-player experience. Burnout, Ghost Recon and Project Gotham Racing 3 have strong single and multiplayer experiences!
You have a serious amount of new games coming in the next month also, the ones I recommend looking at:
- Madden 07 (link) - Things are really changing for this, so much depth and new gameplay features. This could be the best sports game ever.
- Dead Rising (link) - Silly game, lots of fun. People here are raving about it because of the carnage you can cause. It's comedy value at it's greatest!
- Saints Row (link) - Microsofts version of Grand Theft Auto, very large scale city, lots of missions. Nothing entirely new from GTA bar some customization, but a lot of people will buy this!
- Test Drive Unlimited (link) - Could be the biggest online game on the Xbox360. It's huge in scale, taking 2.5hours to cross the entire island and lots to do. Massive online element too.
- Ninety Nine Nights (link) -Billed as an epic fantasy-action game using weapons, magic and spells. Massive hordes of enemies and huge combo's.
- Enchanted Arms (link) - Looks to be Microsofts version of Final Fantasy except with a 'fast-action battle system'. It promises 50 hours of gameplay, over 100 fully animated characters and 75 creatures. It looks stunning and is personally my most anticipated game.
I have included links to all the games that are coming out so you can get a better grasp on whats arriving this month. Whilst certain ones might not tickle your fancy (Madden if you don't like NFL, Enchanted Arms if you don't like RPGness) there are sure to be some games coming you will love.
In my opinion it's a great time to own the console and there is so much available to play!
