Ive given up!

As you may have seen ive had all wonders of issues gettin my nForce2 iDEQ to detect my new 500GB drive, so ive swaped round and stuck a 200GB SATA1 drive in, and got through the first part of WHS setup. But now, it restarts, does the blue Windows setup screen with the text at the bottem, and then crashed to a BSOD with STOP 0x0000007B error.

A google suggests hardware or driver fault, or boot issue, but seen as this is only the setup, and its just running the install files its already copied to the HDD, im stuck!

Think im just going to give up and stick a couple of large drives in a caddy...

Blimmin computers!

Haha, never mind....

Silly me ey. I figured that giving WHS the SATA drives for my mobo during the first part of the install would be enough, but no, when it restarts you have to give them to it again... I mean, how stupid am I. How could I possibly think giving an install drivers only once would work.... :)

Still though, why error instead of giving the usual XP style "no hard drives found" error? Afterall, it looks just like the XP setup.

LOL
Soon as I read the title I thought "he'll sort it in 5 mins"

Why?

Because every single time I throw a total wobbler and post my angst about it, the solution leaps out at me almost instantly

Funny old universe isn't it.

Awww man it is so true, you just start thinking intelligently again.
But good news man.

Horah!

After throwing a wobbly, thinking straight, realising (and remembering) what a hash job the WHS installer is (if anybody has done it, they will understand) Ive finally got Rafiki up and running. Yeah hes only got 2/5th the HDD space I wanted, but this is more of an experiment than a proper server implimentation anyway.

Now to see what I can do with a server in a multi PC household. I used the beta, but 1 server and 1 PC isnt really much use lol.
