Wow... good riddance.

If all you're going to do is cry because you can't even get your own setup in order, then we can do without you tbh, absolutely nothing to do with the 360 being useless at all.

Your 'bad luck' is hardly anything to get upset about either. Take a look at what's happening in the real world for crying out loud.

I got my Arcade the other day, bought a 9.99 HDMI cable.

All you need to do is take the casing off the component/VGA cable and plug it in the back.

Edit- Exactly as the link above says.

I have been building PCs and the like since I was 11 years old, now 18 I dont think I would make simple mistakes like this.

I am using a Samsung Monitor which is capable of HD, hence why I need to use both the HDMI and the AV sockets. Learn to read before making false accusations. As it's a monitor no it does not have Audio, just DVI (which I have a DVI>HDMI Adaptor)

Why on earth didn't you try other shops for the HDMI cables. Most larger supermarkets now carry them.

If this post isn't just about the 360 then why does the title state ' xbox 360 - useless'?!

For reference if you want a thin HDMI cable that isn't too expensive then look at the official PS3 one. The large computer chain store sell them.

And as for not posting on here anymore, whwy on earth did you bother with this thread in the first place. It is quite obvious what sort of replies you are going to get (especially with the thread title). Basically it simply looks like you didn't do any research before getting a HDMI cable and bought the first one you found.
 
I agree MY XBOX 360 IS USELESS TOO!

I put it on my desk and it's now taking up the room where I used to place my beer. So I thought I'd move it to the other side of the desk but alas it's starting to melt my chocolate stash.

Pile of crap.
 
just to make you feel better any cheap hdmi cable of say flea bay would have gave you the same quality as your expensive one and would probably have fitted no problem

on a more serious note take back your cable and get your money back try somewhere else

theres a doohicky that plugs in the 360 to allow for toslink/coax. Comes with elites, also comes in a pack with an hdmi cable too.

You need a multi AV cable anyway as you can't put a regular AV cable and HDMI in at the same time, it's why the Elite consoles come with it.

I didn't want the elite actually. Its pathetic considering most of you are grown ups and you have the cheek to speak to me like that.

For your information I am not a spoilt brat, I have been working solidly since I was 16 to pay for my driving lessons, insurance and all the rest of it. I have just got my bonus for the year and as such bought the 360. If I work hard and purchase items with my own money, I don't see how I am spoilt.

I also didnt spend over £500.

Read the post again? I went to buy a thin HDMI cable there were none, so I tried the expensive one (only one in stock) to see if would be any good. Its worth a try..

And since when have B&Q sold HDMI cables as someone said.. Seriously

I came on here stressed out just to get it off my chest, and I get a load of rude comments bashing me, calling me stupid and I should have researched first. I Was stressed out, and chose this title purley because thats all that was on my mind at the time. I did research it first. Chose the Premium due to the newer CPU, slightly larger heatsinks and my friend has the same setup with a AV cable for audio and a HDMI cable for video output to his monitor.

Regardless I have this sorted so many thanks to Zogger and anyone else who gave CONSTRUCTIVE comments. As for the rest of you, might be that time of the year to get your head out of your read end, so to speak.

The last thing someone needs when they are under stress is people who blatently take advantage of that.

Considering they have been selling random cables for as long as I can remember, chances are that they sell HDMI cables. Oh and if you call that stress because a couple of little things don't go right then you have a lot to learn about real stress. Gods sake, grow up and grow a spine, or just jump off a cliff and do us all a favour.

Were you trying to use the AV lead as well so you could use optical out? Because I tried that yesterday with mine and the same thing happened - very damn annoying to be honest. I don't understand why they make the plastic around the HDMI plugs so unnecessarily fat!
 
I'm using my 22" Monitor as the screen (via HDMI) and wnated the Red/White banana plugs off the AV lead to go into my amp for sound.

The cable I bought has a stupidly thick metal case around the end connector. I've just cracked open the AV cable connector and its fine now. Even with a thin cable to be honest there really wasnt much room for the AV and the HDMI cable to go in there nicely.

You tried one store! Which by the way is a competitor so you are also breaking the rules. To be honest if you come on here and make a stupid post bashing a console for being useless when it is blatently your own fault you can only expect this sort of response. If you'd come on here and acted like a rational, mature adult and asked proper questions then people would have been more willing to help you.
