I bought Aspire 6930G-744G32 (no overclockers.co.uk), but before I oredered I ask the CHatLive wich kind of memory DDR2 or DDR3 come with 9600m GT, they said DDR3. I receveied that laptop today, than I looked GPU-Z, and I realized that is DDR2, I felt damage, because I paid £100 pounds more than another place!!! I just ordered that laptop because they said DDR3!!! If 60 pounds more I could buy 6935G!!
I don't know what to do!! Should I send back?? How much difference is between 9600m GT DDR2-DDR3??
Do you guys think that I'm right to complaim about it?
thanks.

Contact them, ask for ddr3 or say you want a refund, as long as it's under 7 days from purchase your covered by dsr regs, act quickly.

I did it, They don't have DDR3! The point is How to much to ask, all amount? I was thinking about it, to ask for somethink like 70 ou 80 pounds! I don't know if they are able to do that, if they to do it, I'm happy.
And before to ordered, I spoke with them, and asked if they were able to do the same price from the competitor, they said YES. So I hope that they can short out.
And another problem, I don't think that I'm able to talk by the phone hehehhehe. I hope to go to the shop to solve that problem.

theres no way a big online business will just give you a bit of cash back

you will have to return the whole thing for a full refund and get it done as quick as possible

Dont laptop GPU's share system RAM? Im guessing if so thats why its showing as DDR2?
No, that's IGP's.
They just use slower ddr2 chips instead of faster gddr3.

The difference between ddr2 and gddr3 will be more noticeable at high resolutions and/or lots of aa. The 9600m gt isn't really quick enough to make full use of gddr3 so they cut costs and put on ddr2.

1366 x 768 is the res of the laptops screen, right?
If so you probably wouldn't see that much of a gain having gddr3 as due the relativity low resolution.

I used to have an inspirion 1720 with a 19x12 screen, that had a a 8600m gt (slightly lower clocked 9600m gt) with ddr2 graphics memory and that actually wasn't too bad trusting I left aa switched off and kept at native res or a shade below at 16x10. Both of those are high resolutions for a laptop and it was still pretty good for gaming.

If you paid for (g)ddr3 and didn't get it, get your money back or get a full refund.
