I had a long sleep

Whoa :o Without waking up? I WISH I could do that :p I always end up getting woken up by someone or something :(

When I got back from Egypt I slept for around 40 hours. Had no idea what time or day it was when I woke up. No-one in the house and all the holiday stuff packed away. It was like Home Alone.

That was around 12 years ago, don't think I've slept anything like that since.

Seven hours EXACTLY? Do you hypnotise yourself to wake up after seven hours?

It is quite easy to do! If you are destined to get up at say 7 and you go to bed at 12, your body can be, unless you are completely nackered, very good at waking you up for around 7 +/- 15 mins

Most I've ever slept was around 10 hours, That was after 24 hours of work within 48 hours with no sleep. I don't get much more than 4-5 hours normally so it seemed long to me.

When I worked nights, it felt weird going to bed in the afternoon and getting up at 7pm to be ready for work at 9. I just couldn't do the getting home sleeping straight away and trying to have a normal day after that method.

I think most I've slept was 18 hours after a night out. Woke up just in time for the next night to be starting. College was fun.

Around 33hours.
Went to bed at 10pm, slept for the whole of the next day and woke up at 7ish the day after.

30 hours after a 27 hour flight back from Sydney, with an hour stop in Singapore Changi and 45 minutes in Amsterdam Schiphol. That was over ten years ago.

My mates at the cricket club nicknamed me half-man half-mattress because of my amazing sleeping abilities.

Now having a one year old baby means I can get by on about 6 hours a night, no way could I have done that five years ago, just shows how much the body can adapt if necessary.

I prefer a short sleep (8 hours or less), staying awake for prolonged periods is where its at!

4 days straight awake, that was a bit stretching though.
