I hate City link delivery

You can't blame either for the freak weather conditions and any predictions that far in advance are mere specualtion.

Um ... we have a low solar activity causing cold weather. When you have such conditions it tends to cause ... you know ... snow.

Having some problems here too.

Bought a TV off eBay and paid for next day delivery, on the 12th of this month.

My TV is currently sat in a closed warehouse and phone lines aren't taking any calls. I cant even collect my parcel as no one is manning the collection point.

look outside at the snow... or in the its snowing thread if you have no snow outside

how do you think the parcel gets across the country ? delivery cant happen if roads/rails/airports are shut which a lot of them are

on another note city link where delivering yesterday here to catch up !

Which for most of the country is only due to a few inches of snow that should have been cleared by now by any competent local authority

Some people must be living on another planet or not reading the papers, watching TV. All delivery companies including Royal Mail are experiencing backlogs and delays. Just live with it.

Ugh, its been snowing for god sake

As of last week, City link are only delivering back logs for now due to the snow the other week, they'll then carry on as normal

Tried emailing them?

I think it's unfair to moan at the Parcel/Mail services during the current weather, I'm old & I'v never known it to be this cold or ****** up before. I know it's a pain it took 7 days for me to get summit tuther day but what can you do but sling another log on the fire & thank God you aren't the one who is out there trying to do there job.

I can understand the backlogs delaying packages being sorted and sent out for delivery, but what I can't understand is the fact that my package has now had two days of being driven around London in the back of a van that has somehow not managed to even attempt to deliver it...

Today, (on the second day of being out for delivery) the delivery driver said he tried to deliver and said he left a card saying that he tried. Not only that, but when Mrs Dym rang up the depot and queried the lack of package and card, it turned out that the delivery driver had taken a photo of our front door to prove that he had been there. The fact that he failed to attempt to knock on the door (which would have been answered) makes me think that the numpty at the depot called up google maps, rather than the driver having been anywhere near said door.

What annoys me is not so much the delays, it's not even the remarkably ambiguous delivery windows, it's the outright lies which we're told.

Delivery is now rescheduled for next Wednesday (for the second time, I rescheduled it for next Wednesday last night, as well) and if it turns up then Mrs Dym will no doubt give the driver a few choice words, many of which cannot be used on these forums :p

Been waiting almost 2 weeks for my order to be delivered by DPD, arrived at there depot 10th, went down today to try and pick up in person but no joy, did phone and someone would phone back - never got a call :(

Royal mail delivered my parcel which was shipped on Monday from Scotland arrived today :)

Ive been waiting for a city link deliverys from amazon now since the 10th, screw up from amazon meant it wasnt dispatched until the 17th, paid for next day deliverys, still at city links depot...not expecting a christmas miracle tbh...

I'm in the same boat. Was expecting a delivery last Friday according to their website but haven't heard a peep yet. It still says it should be delivered then on the website :(

I thought it was 'cos a wedge of high pressure in the Atlantic had pushed the Jet stream south allowing all the cold air from Russia and the North filter into us Hmmmmm

Just a quick update.

Well, still no reply from citylink via email, still impossible to get through to their customer 'service' line, and my parcel hasn't moved at all.

It's longer than 2 weeks now, this is just over the top.

I could literally put a parcel on my cats back, stick a map in its mouth and nudge it out the back door, it'd still deliver parcels quicker than citylink.

It's technically only really just over a week if you factor in days when they won't actually be able to deliver to you... ie weekends and holidays. Then you've still got the back log due to the issues snow caused and the huge number of deliveries.

I'd never expect an e-mail from a courier company to get answered with much haste. Your best bet is hanging on the line until somebody does answer.

Amazingly, City Link turned up this morning with a slightly soiled package.

Unpack it to find that one of the pieces has been smashed (wooden changing table) and it's useless.

Luckily, the big river shop returns are via DHL...

Not bloody happy.

Have been trying to phone them all day regarding a delivery. "Sorry, due to a high volume of calls, we are not accepting any calls. Please visit the website"

Shockingly poor service. They should have delivered my parcel 18th December, they have promised to deliver it today. Has not even made it onto the van. At least, I don't think it has, tracking has not been updated to say it is out for delivery, but yet the information says that it will be. I really do despise city link. I only ever have problems with them!
