I hate not having a garage...

Although I do park my car in the garage it doesn't leave much room for anything else and just enough to get in and out (hence the foam buffers). Would love a double garage so I could put the car and motorbike in there and be able to work on them.

I have a garage but 1) It's a crappy council garage on the other side of town, 2) It's got my other car SORNed in it while I fix it in there and 3) There's no room to really work on anything major in there anyway.

A month or so ago I spent a rainy Sunday changing the water pump on my main car, it's in my space in the car park for our flats which is off the road so no buses zooming past 2 inches from my buttcheeks etc....what's the big deal about getting a little bit wet? Chances are you're going to get dirty, oily etc. anyway.

Comfort, it aint fun laying on the floor in the rain for 7 hours under a car freezing your nuts off. Much nicer being sat in the garage with the radio on, cuppa tea on standby, nice and warm.

^^ Agree. When I was living somewhere without a garage I came out to find somethihng similar. I know it's hard but try not to get angry about it. Just get it repaired and then get on with your life. If you get angry then the idiot will have got the reaction they desired.

Real pain in the arse though :(

Specific property violence is a horrible thing. Utterly pointless, the actions of complete jealousy.

Living where I do (very central London) I kind of accept the odd scratch/bump and fix usually just before selling, but things like the above - don't they make you want to set fire to people?

I try pretty hard now to not let such things bother me. You put the work in, you look after your family, you get a toy - and some scrote tries to ruin it for you.

Forget the liberalism, they should see how well their lungs work from the outside.

Sigh. //ForeverAVictimOfCarCrime

I live in an area with many social problems and I fret every night about my car getting vandalised. Makes me think there's no point getting a conspicuous car without also having a decent sized garage. I want a nice car but wants the point without peace of mind?

Seeing as it's garage photo week, here's mine currently in use giving the weekend toy a work over:
