The vectra sub forum isnt too bad, the average age of most drivers must be well into the 30s. We've got quite a few drivers in their 40s and 50s and most of us are late 20s

But then you've got your typical corsa driver.

Who post videos of them driving like complete *@!&'s on the road. And their comments ?

"lol ui love it
BOYS AND THERE TOYS AY LOL
that gemma girl registered on here?"

that's assuming you can even understand half the post. Its all by sodding chavs in text speak. I despair at times.

Cant see me ever turning up to a VXR meet for fear of running into people like this. We all had a great time at the OcUK meets, and apart from one certain motormouth member on here (*cough* rover416i :D ;)) theres nobody to take exception to

it appears that way :/

i cant think of a worse place to take a video doing a 60/70 mph flyby.

me and rG-tom did one. Up on the moors on a 60 limit road on our own with no other traffic ...

theres a time and a place.

its exactly what i expected

i normally post in just the vectra section

but wander into general discussion from time to time. I was looking for photos from the big trax event this weekend and ended up in chavland (try saying that with the autotrader advert musc for effect lol)

i wouldnt worry

i hear somebody has reported it to the police and they are trying to do something about it apparently.

the difference between the way of us approached the same thing is the best illustration

both of us have aftermarket exhausts, that we have shared the sound of, with other users.

Me ? i went to an empty supermarket car park at about 7pm on a sunday to take the video so i didnt annoy my neighbours, or supermarket shoppers.

him ? he went hooning round a 30 limit road doing 70 + in front of a school to do a cool driveby.

Why couldnt he have just driven another 5/10 minutes and found a 70 limit dual carriageway to do it from ?

i remember all to well how i used to drive :D

thankfully i managed to learn without killing anybody.

I still remember now when i was 17 one of school mates was put on the insurance for his mums landrover freelander. He rolled it doing 60 on a country lane 3 times and wrote it off.

As for reporting the video in question to the police, do you have nothing better to do? We all know how backwards the road traffic laws in this country are, and I'm certain many people here break them all the time, usually, upon making a judgement whether its safe to drive in such a manner, depending on conditions etc.

Would you like me to get him to forward on the emails to you as proof?

I certainly had an email from my local police station when I reported the retard that used to tear up and down on his quad bike.

The poster above is off-line

but may i suggest since that your a member on here, you take umbridge with Aharvey, the person who reported him to the police ? not me ?

thankyou.

For the record i never deemed it necessary to report it to the police. I thought spending the best part of 5 pages telling him why doing what he did was wrong, was enough.

oh god

i can see the VXR forum members joining on mass just to have a go at fox

Still, least they have someone else to be angry at other than me :D

5. The feel of a new car - no matter how well a car has been maintained, by the time cars get to around six years old, they just don't feel the same any more.

I know ive had arguments before over his views on superior BMW switchgear (and that incidentally i hate the dashboard switch gear on e39 and e46 bmws)

But even i can admit that how new a car feels after 6 years depends on the car and how well built it was. Sitting in fox's BMW, and other BM's of the era, simply doesnt feel like you're fitting in a car thats as old as it is

Sitting in an old vectra b or micra however ... completely different. By god you dont half notice it.

My 300bhp does do it, as others have said you cant really class it as enjoyable or a desirable characteristic

But i put up with it because of other features.

Despite 400lb/ft of torque, its not overbearing either. Its not fight the wheel bad
