I hate the VXR forums sometimes

Seems a bit irresponsible for a mod to delete it, sounds like they were trying to get rid of the evidence. Is the video still in its original location? (I dont have the link anymore)

What if he was driving an Aston and spoke proper English, would he have received the same grilling then? :D

That was an entertaining read while it lasted. What a complete tool and fairly common on most club/enthusiast forums. One of the other owners clubs I frequent has its fair share of plebs. Theres one person in particular who never fails to amaze. From wondering whats broken on his car after hitting a pot hole at 100mph+ (dont worry he was slowing down at he time  ) to happily stating that he has had his car upto an indicated 155mph along with the road he did it on. They all tend to have no idea about even the basics of how a car works along with a love of txt spk and total denial when confronted about how stupid they are.

Even the Mondeo forums have them, which really surprises me. I mean, they're great cars IMO, but why anyone would chav up a 115 TDDI LX is beyond me....

These kind of forums get a close eye from the plod and some can get pretty nasty offline too. No matter how much a tool that user might be, the admins/mods have a responsibility to protect their users and also set a prescedent so they don't get any more idoits posting/discussing inappropriate videos. Once someone posts videos of them being a tool, others may follow etc. The admins and mods don't have to represent the userbase and may have some standards, plus they don't want inter forum attacks ;)

A lot of us go on 'spirited' drives with a group of people organised via a forum be it here or elsewhere. Most other forums keep it all on PM and to trusted members only to make the events safer and to keep unecessary attention away from an otherwise civilised community. They get watched closer than you think, and although harmless, people donh't like the idea of it as one bad member can reflect on everyone involved.

cant see the vid as i do not want to become a member of the VXR forum. Any other links?

seen it a few posts up... i really should read thread first

Finally got round to watching the vid at home last night...what a complete moron. Reading though the thread, especially at his stance on the issue completely amazed me.

Also just watched the video. I'm absolutely shocked at the speed given the location.
