Sorry in advance, but my car insurance is doing my head in this year.

Best quote I can find so far is £1100, which seems a bit high considering I've had my license for 3 years, 3 years no claims and its a Ford Focus. Any help in hammering it down would be beneficial!

I've done the usual comparison sites, as well as Adrian Flux, and Flux and 1st Central both come out at £1100. However, I do have an M33 postcode which doesn't help, but my first year when I was 18 cost £1600...I feel like £500 less with 3 years no claims is a bit...well...awful!

I already have my dad as a named driver (64, 14 years no claims) and my mum doesn't drive. I have no sisters, only brothers, so the only woman I could realistically add would be my sister in law.

Thanks in advance, and cheers again!

Does your Mom have a license? Pretty sure it doesn't matter if she doesn't drive, as long as she's legal to do so.

She doesn't have any form of license, even provisional

It sounds like a normal price to me if it is fully comp.

You'd think so, but my second year was less than £1000. I know insurance has gone up, but that seems a bit daft!

Female named driver. I have 9 years no claims and sticking the wife on (with recent fault claim) brings my insurance down by about £70.

Don't if i can link these...

But try http://www.brentacre.co.uk/

But before you do register on this - http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/ when they ask if you're on any forums quote that and state you name... another discount on top.

Brentacre by far is the cheapest for me. On my second year of driving i got quoted £1,200... from endsleigh. Started to hunt for cheaper insurance and all the other big companies where quoting about the same. Called brentacre and went down to £800! (TFPT Though).

Worth a call. :)

try ringing them up and asking if they can do anything, some times if you ask you get and the worst they can say is no :)

Being nice will help you out sometimes, i give more time to the people who actually listen and dont go off the rails thinking they know better.
