looking to crossfire but no idea where to start i think this is the best place to ask if not please direct me else where.
I have 2x IceQ X 7850 and would like to know what motherboard and CPU i need.

What do you have already? Only reason for asking is that if you have the kind of money to spend out on a new board, CPU, RAM etc you may be better looking at selling the 7850's and buying your new set up and sticking a new 1060 or 1070 in as a single card.
Crossfire is an absolute PITA at the best of times and when you factor in needing a better PSU, possible cooling issues, no 0 day profiles. The potential advantages are far outweighed.

thanks for the advice i have only 1 card but my friend is getting a new gpu and offered me his old card which is the same one i have thought this might be a cheaper route to upgrade, i have the I3 sandy or ivybridge and i know the motherboard will not fit my Mobo 8gb of ram too the other card will cost maybe £60 from my friend maybe cheaper if i do sell my card and go for one card instead of cross fire what components would you suggest
