I don't have much DVDs right now.

I've seen the following at a competitor:

The Godfather 5 Disk Edition - £17.98
Goodfellas 2 Disk Edition - £4.90
Pulp Fiction 2 Disk Collectors - £5.58
Saving Private Ryan 60th Anniversary - £5.94

Recommend any other DVDs? Shall I remove some DVDs from the above list?

Don't buy Godfather III, it's rubbish. Buy GF I & II, probably £6 each.

I disagree, III isn't rubbish, it's just not quite up to the standard of the first two, but still a very good film, get the set mate. :)

Okies. Will order tonight some time!

Can you guys recommend any more?

Edit: At Crank I can buy that for £3 at a high street music store. They have it on sale :)

a competitor (or at least i am fairly sure it's a website i cannot mention) currently has a massive £5 dvd sale on
loads of the classics on offer
i bought myself a few films i've been meaning to get for a while
i'm sure you won't have much trouble finding their site :)

The Shawshank Redemption
Primer
Gladiator
Lord of the Rings
Scarface

But if you havn't got The Godfather then get that, nothing beats it. Perfect cast, superb cinematography and some of the coolest moments in the history of film. Also very re-watchable.

I have Lord of the Rings :) Seen Shawshank, liked it, am going to buy it, but not this round.

I also have Road to Perdition which I thought was a brilliant movie.

are you looking for new films for your collection or just films to watch over and over again.Godfather series is probably the best 3 films in a box set barring band of brothers.Naked guns are classics .Aliens are always up there as well.predator 1,2 is good aswell.dark city is very good .

Children of Men, Rising Sun, Alien & Aliens, Any Given Sunday, Heat, Italian Job (the original), The Fog, Fight Club, Withnail & I, Escape From New York, Dog Soldiers, King Of New York, Shaun Of The Dead, Pan's Labyrinth, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Sin City, Silence of the Lambs, The Usual Suspects, Wall Street, Training Day, War Games, Dog Day Afternoon :)

Once Upon a Time in America is a great gangstery film with DeNiro (though I guess it's more a character development film)

Pi or Requiem for a Dream should be had as well
