Long story short, a good girl friend of mine has been through the ringer with a guy who moved a lot of stuff into her place, bought a big new TV, furniture, moved all his DVD's and stuff in etc etc.

Anyway,he also moved his X Reg R6 in with him as well.
It turns out however, that matey is still married and never told my friend this and he announced on friday that he was going back to his wife and three kids.
Well, after a weekend of being severely annoyed this lass finally asked what does he want to do with all this stuff.
"Keep it, throw it away i dont care"
"Even this ******* motorbike?"
"sell it you've got all the documents there its not worth anything anyway"

So i get a phone call this evening explaining this to me and she asked if i wanted this bike. I asked how much and she said just said come and take it away.

Do i go and take it away?
 
Well.. it's not hers to give away, so you have to be sure this guy's going to allow it to be signed over to you. In his position it seems pretty likely the guy will let her keep it just because he's the bad guy in the situation and probably wants to keep away from her flailing talons, so you may well just be able to sign it over.

However, if it was mine I'd be over to pick it up.

Edit: Hang on, I read it again, I thought it was her saying that. Then no - he's told her to sell it, and he doesn't seem like he's going to change his mind. So you should sell it. To me.
 
Get it ASAP and get the docs changed then its going to be hard for him to get it back then :p

Or give it to me £10 and a Wiggly Wiggly under the chin :p
R6's aint worth much anyway ;) hehe
 
Right i'll get it tommorow, its in the next town and all my gear is in the loft and its bloody freezing tonight anyway.
 
I'll pick it up for you, if you give me the docs and a receipt. :p

Seriously though, go grab it, put it into hibernation mode for the next few months then get out and go for a blat when the weather gets better. :D
 
X reg R6 is worth at least 2 to 2.5k isn't it? thats what I want and I the sort of age I was considering... however to change the docs I expect you need the owners signature.

You dont, but he could report it stolen or something if he later changes his mind. Ive bought and sold cars many times with no signatures.

Sorry i should have updated the thread.

I went over to pick it up, and i went over the documents, and the bike wasnt even his, but another guy was on the V5.

So it was a different matter entirely from what he was saying, turns out this guy is away for 6 months and he was minding the bike for him, why he said to sell it i dont know.

As it stands i came out with:
20 DVD's
a shed load of football books.
Some power tools.
Set of Golf clubs (i dont play golf, my brother does)
and a couple of crates of beer.

I just totally forgot about the thread, journey wasnt entirely wasted though, the Golf clubs were made by Calloway, are they good?
