Hey there I have a question about all in one coolers,

Is it possible to take them apart like take the hoses off and some how refill them? And if so, would it be possible to take a 280 all in one cooler, then feed the hose to a rear exhaust 140 radiator then back to the cpu block of the cooler?

Or why don't they make a 280 and a 140 etc in a all in one loop extreme cooler etc?

I know I'm going to get replies like why not just go for a full water cooling loop or what's wrong with one or the other etc.. But it's just a little random idea well not idea just a question I had in my mind haha :p

Thanks.

You could techinically do it, but they aren't meant to be taken apart. You'd have to make sure that after filling that the fitting and the tubing still seal properly and the tubing may have deformed.

And there is nothing stopping you from adding an extra rad except that the pump might struggle with pushing the coolant down the channels.

I wouldnt touch that with a barge poe mate. as said the pump will probably be only capable of running the loop it was designed for and may well struggle with any extra gear in the loop.

Go AIO or go Custom, there is no middle ground really.

Have a look at the Swiftech H220 and H220X, they are designed to be expandable and plenty of people have had good experiences with them.

Though if all you're cooling is the CPU it might be worth making a custom loop. Though from everything I've read you're probably not going to actually gain that much performance from adding another 140 rad.

I modded a h50 onto a 240 radiator and it worked a treat. I'll find a picture later if I can when I'm on my pc (ipad ATM) saw about an 8 degree drop if I remember correctly.

That was going from push/pull to just a push set up.

Here it is (was). Only thing remaining from this lot is the case, 240 radiator and maybe one of the HDD's
