I have a question about our Will

We had a will done by a solicitors and we now need to remove a beneficiary from this will.

The solicitors quote £400 just to delete a paragraph so my question is can we just write an amendement and get it witnessed to just delete that paragraph and send a copy to solicitors who also hold a copy and they are the executors as well.

Might just be cheaper to get a new will drawn up - I am also going to look on line for a DIY will - I assume we can just copy what is on the existing one and leave out the parts we don't want.

No - it was a niece on wifes side.

One other thing - As the solicitor is the executor and holder of the Will can I just send a Codicil and will they just put it in the Will folder or won't they accept it.
