What is wrong with buying something like this?

http://www.hamletcars.co.uk/used-cars/saab-9-3-2-8t-aero-4dr-welwyn-garden-city-201239486796088

It looks scarily cheap. Are parts and servicing ridiculously expensive due to Saab no longer being around?

I think it's quite a looker myself. I am after a new car next month and I wanted something a bit more special then my current motor. I don't need space, I don't want it to be a raw sports car. I thought this looked great.

Advice?

I really wouldn't say that is 'scarily cheap', just look at the competition.

They are known to break down occasionally but this is usually from being driven too hard and breaking turbos etc

I thought it was the 9-5 that is based on the insignia? It is fairly bland but it isn't ugly. That's all personal opinion so doesn't really count anyway.

It just came across as cheap to me. I was looking at getting a Focus ST. But I don't really know what I want. Open to lots of ideas. I want something quick, comfy, looks alright, nice build quality and reasonable in the corners. I don't cover many miles so mpg isn't really an issue. Looking to spend £10k or less.

What would be comparable to it?

£8k for a 4.5 year old Saab 9-3? I thought you said it was 'scarily cheap'

Fair enough, so I was off on the price. I just assumed it was going to be more than that. Was just surprised really.

Is there any reason why someone wouldn't buy this car? Apart from they think it looks a little boring?
