can i buy a decent e46 bmw for £4k ?

This is the budget I have for a passat, with 500 left over for tyres and whatnot.

I have been looking at some e46's but they are all 2.5 litre auto's, with high mileage yet FSH. Im guessing the answer is no, but I dont mind being enlightened ?

Oh and its a serious question, not a dream.

also is the 320cd any good ? I understand petrol is best for a drivers car, but im more after comfort. Im a student with little income, but I do have some income, just not secure monthly.

I live with my parents, the only outgoings I have are mobile phones. I spend all my money on hifi, diesel, car audio, pc's and numerous other things, and how i make money is quite frankly nothing to do with anyone.

They shouldnt be taking anything like that much ? The maximum they take per month from everyone i know who has been to uni is £15 a month.

They take like 5% of monthly income, any more and you have to have specified it. Poster isnt happy so doubt hes specified it, so to take £200 a month he must earn £4k a month ? In which case hes rich enough to not worry about the £200 as hes paying it back quicker.

Something doesnt make sense there ?
