MY bro gave me his old 5.1 creative home theatre set up a while back and i have not got round to using it i have bought an optical cable for it ready.
Now i am not sure if the system is old and it would be better to upgrade on the front it has dolby digital pro logic 2 and DTS i am not sure if that means todays top sound cards can use it fine and newer games will have all of the affects come out of the speakers fine.
I am not sure which card to get the Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card.
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium 7.1 Sound Card?
I would proberly prefer to use pci express but i have only 1 graphics card pci express slot but have a few pci express x1 slots im not sure if that is were the cound card would go.
As you can tell total noob with these things lol.
