why not, instead of the mods / admins locking threads, why cant we introduce a request lock button ? like the report button
5 or more lock requests and a mod locks the thread.
seems that threads get locked just because some mods dont like them.

If threads are of no interest then they'll fall to the bottom. There's no need to lock them.

Just like your cooking thread, instead of dealing with the people that take the thread off track, they'll simply lock it and those that ruin them will keep ruining others

TBH - I was a little dissapointed when my thread got locked earlier.

It was posted as a fun, topical thread with no malice intended. Not sure why it has been classed as "spam" though
