I want to buy some cheap speakers as i no longer have room for these under my desk (the big black block that goes with the speakers, the woofer or whatever you call it) what should i be looking at getting? not that bothered on sound just want rid of the woofer

I know you said cheap, but different people have differing ideas on what cheap is.

£30ish mate, but can stretch either side.

if you want to stretch to 50 these would be a contender, i have some edifiers.. nice for the money!

Edifier 980T or R1000TCN, if you can stretch to £50. Bigger than the T3130 satellites though, so depends if you have room for larger speakers on your desk.

If not, or if £50 is too much of a stretch, then Creative T10 are a cheaper smaller alternative. For the sake of £10 though, Edifier's are the better speaker. I'd only go for the Creative T10 if larger speaker will be a problem.
