This is driving me insane. When I game, when I'm on youtube the sound continues to stutter and have sound spikes. Does anyone know what I can do to get rid of it?

What do you want to know about my system?

At the moment the sound is running on an asus xonar DGX 5.1

Well that's a start ;-) There was a problem with the early Win 10 Asus drivers, uninstall them and download latest from Asus. If that fails try the Win 8.1 drivers.

Andi.

Hi I'm going to try them out over the next few days.

I'm going to go to sleep now. Thanks for all the help so far and I hope that this will get resolved soon

like I dont know what to really do. Before the update of windows 10 it was working smoothly and now all I get is lag on most games. Driving me up the wall

Update:

When I play a youtube clip it will have sound stutter at the sound then once the video is loaded properly the sound will become normal.
I think that this also happens in the games that I play hence the constant stream of sound needed to play online.

I had this problem, turned out it was a bios setting. Something to do with lowering cpu when idle i think, cant remember the exact name sorry.

I upgraded to W10 and also have a Asus Xonar DGX and get stuttering 9 times out of 10 on youtube videos/facebook videos/vines/twitch etc. I use Chrome, tried out Edge and haven't had the problem with Edge so far.
Although, games are fine for me.

I get this too under CPU load on Win10. Installed latest realtek drivers (sound is ran through USB) but it doesn't seem to have done much.
