Hi all,
After a littl while of toying with the idea I finally decided to bite the bullet and get myself a PS3 and I must say I am pleasently suprised.
I managed to the console with RFOM, Motorstorm, Fantastic 4 Blu ray and a second controller for £390 which isn't too bad. (well its a lot but meh
)
First impressions of the PS3, well its built very well, its very heavy and its ruddy huge. The controller is stupidly light, however I am having no issues playing any game with it.
I like all of the features it has especially the integral web browser (small thing I know but I like it) - The built in wifi is handy as well.
Games wise well I was thoroughly impressed with resistance and motorstorm isn't too bad either (interesting with the sixaxis control). GT:HD looks very nice as well.
The blu ray looked pretty sweet although I don't have the SD version of the film for a direct comparison.
Overall then I am very pleased with my purchase however I am definately keeping my xbox 360 as that way I can have the both of best worlds.
A couple of questions if you would indulge me:
1) Can I play GT4 on the ps3 (I have not really followed its backwards compatibility listings)
2) I understand you can install linux on the PS3, has anyone done this? What is it like (linux noob here) lol.
Anyway I am off to play RFOM followed by a bit of Forza 2.
