I have just got bradband and now my computer is crashing...help?

All seems to be going well, but after a while when the connection has sustained about 40 or so mb of traffic the whole system just freezes. Is there anything anyone can suggest to help?

you're using a usb modem right?

if it has ethernet, use that instead if not, then buy a router -will give you ethernet connection that you just plug any pc into and it'll already be connected..

3rd or 4th one down..

they have support for adsl and ntl cable

who is your isp by the way?

I'm with eclipse, and yeah usb modem. I have had broadband before with usb modem and no problem, is a router the only way?

usb isn't the best for internet, ethernet is tried and tested, you never get any weird problems with it, it just works

ask ecplise, they may be able to help you

I agree about usb, I have always thought it weird that my internet would come through there. Thanks for the advice, I will speak to eclipse.
