Good choice? Or would you cancel?

I was going to get GOODYEAR - EAGLE F1 ASSIM but etyres didn't have the 255/35R18Y and I need them fitting at work :(

Worth the extra?

£703 for a set of tyres for a 3 Series? Are you mad? I paid just over £500 for a full set of Eagle F1's for my 5 Series and the rear tyres are larger and more expensive!

PS2's are not bad tyres but they are SO expensive it's just unreal - they are loads more than either Eagle F1 or Contisport Contact 2/3 and are no better.

Thats a fitted price for etyres to come at my work.

The F1 Assymetrics come in at £566 fitted and thats the hassle of taking

delivery and driving to the local depot for fitting.

so £137 cheaper

etyres dont have the F1's in my size in stock

So you dont think 30 minutes to drive to the local tyre shop is worth it to save £137?

Seems like you are basically paying £137 for somebody to come and fit them.

Tell you what, bung me £100 and I'll drive up, collect your car, take it to get the tyres fitted, wash it, and drop it back off :p

No the PS2's are 137 quid more over the F1's.

Are the PS2's worth the extra?

No they are not - they might last longer but this is not why they cost more.

34 quid per tyre.

Hardly a biggy.

Thing is I have a 1000 mile trip at the weekend and after taking my car for an oil service today the guy told my two fronts were not legal:(

So fitting is tomo and sod the expense!

You two are really hung up about my centre console lol

Its not a necessity.

Legal tyres are, and waiting 4 days for mytyre's to deliver was not an option.

Not to sure what dosen't make sense here?

Buying 4 new tyres? Or wasting 250 big ones on a piece of plastic for my dash?

The answer is ******* easy!

In life one has to prioitise as one gets older you learn these things.

Finish UNI first lads then you will understand things a bit more clearer. :D

sorry easyrider

but they've got a point

you've got £135 to burn for fun, but yet say the reason you havent done a full install is because you cant afford it

if you dont want to install it into the dash, say so. No point in making up excuses.

Right now I can't afford to waste 250 on something that brings me nothing but aesthetics.

Its easy.

I will finish the centre console when I CBA and when I have a spare 250 to

waste on such frivolities :p

$250 = £125

Checking tyre tread before someone else has to tell you its nearly illegal > Being forced to pay £700 to get legal

Forced is hardly the correct word.

lol

I could have bought some F1's for 650 fitted at SAVOY TYRES.

Chose the PS2'S Instead.

Chill with the flame war.

I'm with easyrider, get the tyres then sort out the in car entertainment. Doubt I'd have paid that much but does sound like he needs them in a rush.

Horses for courses.

PS2's £742 at mytryes and thats not fitted. ( 4 days wait.)

I paid £704 at etyres fitted at my work. (Tomorrow)

I doubt I could have got PS2 that much cheaper fitted at a local tyre place.

But I will ring tomo so see how much they would be.

I very much doubt a Local garage like Savoy tyres could beat an online supplier for the same tyres.
