Hi, I have Windows 11 Home, this version only has a lite version of encryption.

A bit of background on how the issue started.

I have Samsung magician software, and I was using over provisioning, I noticed that this seemed to turn itself off, and even though set to off there was about 370gb unallocated space on the drive.

turning this feature on and off didn't seem to fix this unallocated space, so I installed AOMEI Partition assistant and used this to allocate that space back to the normal c: space.

To do this, it brought up a prompt saying I needed to turn off encryption for this to work, so without thinking about it, I agreed to this.

It brought up the setting automatically for me to switch the slider to off, then it decrypted the drive.

One good thing is, this seemed to fix my unallocated space issue.

I then went to re-enable device encryption, and found that the setting seems to now be missing.

When I go to MSINFO device encryption: required elevation to view.

When I run manage-bde -status it shows:

PS C:\Users\James> manage-bde -status
BitLocker Drive Encryption: Configuration Tool version 10.0.22621

BitLocker Version: None
Conversion Status: Fully Decrypted
Percentage Encrypted: 0.0%

Protection Status: Protection Off

I am not sure, how I can repair this, can anyone please help?

Regards

James
