Ok, to cut a pretty long story short, I got a system from here a few weeks ago and things never really worked out with it, so I had to get a refund.
I then decided the best thing to do would be to build it myself, but in the meantime I started decorating which ate into my budget. What that means is that I'll need to leave out some components and buy them later when I'm paid (around 2 weeks).
In the meantime, I want to put together the rest of the computer so that it's useable until I buy the rest of the components.
This is what I don't need right now:
Graphics card
Additional Storage
Speakers/Headphones
Operating System
Monitor (Already have 1440p)
Basically I'll need everything else (including mouse and keyboard).
Requirements for the computer are that I'm a professional photographer, so I'm looking at either an i7 or an 8350 because I need the additional cores/threads. I'll also need 16GB ram.
I know that even an i5 will beat out an 8350 in most games, but at 1440p I think the graphics card I choose when I have the money for it will be the bottleneck anyway for games that I play. So i7 or 8350 for Lightroom and Photoshop is necessary, and I'd definitely be curious what kind of builds could be done to save me money with the 8350.
In addition, my other requirements are:
Mechanical Keyboard (Cherry MX Blue)
A mouse with a scroll wheel that's smooth and doesn't rattle horribly like a cheap bit of plastic (Razer Nagas are the worst for that).
Power supply that's quiet around 600 watts. Preferably Seasonic. (not doing SLI)
Case of preference is the Corsair 540
Budget for all of this is £900
Looking to pull the trigger next week on this.
Thanks for any suggestions!
